Sergio Mendez – What is the things you like the most about Japan ?
James Hyman - The food, radical cultures, polite people and
alien awkwardness.
Sergio Mendez – Have you been playing in Japan ? Did the audience danced ?
James Hyman - I never DJ-ed in Japan but filmed there for MTV in 1997.

James Hyman - Again, not DJ-ed there to the best of my memory
but like Japan, a lot of filming for MTV, especially
in the early 90s 'Euro Pop' era.
Sergio Mendez – How would you resume the swedish in 3 words?
James Hyman – Sexy, Abba and Sauna.

James Hyman – Maybe

James Hyman – No but I would not mind living in the USA

beautiful)
Sergio Mendez - Do you think country music makes people happy because it makes them laugh?
James Hyman – Yes, and it's maybe a nervous laugh through fear - I mean all that
'Deliverance' banjo bizness plus legendary artists like the man in black, Johnny Cash,
totally gangster!!!
Sergio Mendez - I just offered a CD of Johny Cash to my wife for Valentine’s day (she loved it!)
Sergio Mendez - Do you think Farell Williams is a genius?
James Hyman – Yes indeedy.

Sergio Mendez - Which Spanish accent do you like the most?
James Hyman – Sexy ones
Sergio Mendez - What is the worst insult ever you know in Spanish?
James Hyman – Not sure as I probably didn't understand it but
could tell it was rude by the facial expression.
Sergio Mendez - Have you seen the (movie) Auberge espagnole ?
James Hyman – No
James Hyman – Bit too harsh, everyone's "Un voleur" to some extent.
Sergio Mendez – Specifically this bloody Jean-philippe who filled up his web log with kits of my articles. ( i would not be surprised to see this interview on his blog in a near future.)
Sergio Mendez -Have you ever heard about René Lesvesque?
James Hyman –Not until you asked me.

James Hyman –Yes

James Hyman –He was a true gentleman. I made a video for him, a remix of "Oxygene" and we went night clubbing a bit and hung out. I even remember checking "weird stuff" on the internet on my laptop back in the days when internet was slowly taking off (around '95)

James Hyman –Can't stand it.
Sergio Mendez – Then i guess it is useless mentionning that Eric Cantona is a cousin of mine.

James Hyman –Closer than I sometimes realise
